Job summary

Abound Health in Newfoundland, PA is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver to support a female client in a community group home. Driving is required for CPS services two days per week; flexible schedules and weekly pay.

This is a part-time role with paid training and opportunities to grow within a team-focused environment. You will help the client stay active in the community, build trust, and accompany her on outings.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks.
• Comfortable supporting shy individuals and building rapport.
• Ability to drive for community outings (required).

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation to community outings (shopping, movies, church, etc.).
• Encourage social engagement and participation in preferred activities.
• Build rapport and trust with a shy individual who warms up gradually.
• Support her in navigating community environments safely.
• Promote independence and confidence during outings.
• Communicate with Abound team members and group home staff.
• Complete documentation and participate in ongoing training.
