Job summary

The CNA position involves providing routine daily nursing care and services to residents per care plans. You will identify residents before treatments, record entries, and report any changes in condition to the Nurse Supervisor.

You will assist with daily living activities, monitor residents for skin integrity, and help with transfers and transportation as needed. A strong focus on confidentiality and teamwork is required.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a 10th grade education.
• Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with state laws.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine daily nursing care and services as per care plans.
• Identify residents before treatments or meals using wristbands or photos.
• Report changes in resident condition to Nurse Supervisor promptly.
• Record entries on flow sheets and charts in a clear, descriptive manner.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and report breaches.
• Assist with packing, movement, and transportation of residents as needed.
• Greet residents, orient new roommates, and create a warm, calm environment.
• Observe for pressure areas and skin breakdowns; report injuries of unknown source.
• Assist with daily functions such as bathing, dressing, and mouth care.
• Record food intake and report changes in eating habits to supervisors.
• Ensure equipment is used only if trained and report any defects.
