Job summary

Polluxa, Inc. is seeking a qualified engineer to coordinate and execute emissions testing programs and perform comprehensive emissions analyses.

The role involves operating emissions analyzers, collecting and reducing data, performing statistical analysis, and preparing technical reports to support regulatory compliance and inform operations. Strong thermodynamics and chemistry knowledge, plus the ability to manage and interpret large datasets, are required.

Qualifications

• A 4-year engineering or science degree from an accredited school.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintenance of analyzers, generator, and related systems.
• Knowledge of natural gas compression engine operation.
• General knowledge of compressor stations, gathering systems, and processing plant operation.
• Familiarity with programming languages used to communicate with unit automation.
• Proficient PC skills: word processing & spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Travel 75%+ day trips to Kinder Morgan sites for engine air emissions testing in the Williston Basin area.
• Travel (<25% overnight) to sites for engine air emissions testing across the system and to meetings/trainings.
• Hybrid work schedule possible: Monday–Wednesday in the office and Thursday–Friday at home.
• Maintain DOT logs when traveling with truck and trailer.
• Work in outdoor environments around mechanical, industrial and electrical equipment.
• Lead and assist in performance of state and federally required air emissions testing.
• Lead and assist in maintenance and upkeep of emissions testing trailers.
• Develop and submittal of permit required state and federal air emission test protocols and reports.
• Lead and assist with air permit reviews and data requests.
• Specify and procure instrumentation used in upgrades to the emissions trailers.
• Maintain inventory of equipment and calibration gases and maintenance schedules.
