Job summary

Opus Inspection Technologies Inc. is seeking a station operations support role in Joliet, IL. You will assist the station management team in daily operations and support the remitter program as needed.

You will also help with staffing, perform audits and waiver inspections per IEPA guidelines, and travel to other stations for staffing support as required. Strong customer service and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Vehicle inspection experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Ability to learn and understand the function of selected emissions control devices.
• Ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Good time management and teambuilding skills.
• Commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
• Ability to interact professionally with a diverse population.

Responsibilities

• Assist the station manager and assistant manager in the overall operation of the inspection station.
• Provide assistance with the remitter program.
• Assist with manpower needs of the station.
• Performs overt auditing when directed by the station manager or assistant manager.
• Performs waiver inspections on all applicable vehicles, and grants waivers according to IEPA guidelines.
• Travels to other stations as needed to provide staffing support.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the station manager.
