Job summary

Envirotest, a subsidiary of Opus Inspection, seeks a Station Manager to supervise daily emissions-station operations in the Frederick, MD area. You will lead staff, schedule shifts, ensure inspections are completed accurately and on time, and promote a safe, customer-focused environment.

The role requires 1–3 years of supervisory experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and a background in customer service and cash handling.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of supervisory experience required.
• Bachelors degree in Business Management or related field is desirable.
• Previous customer service and cash-handling experience required.
• Excellent organization skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to express and exchange ideas verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of emission stations to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and performance standards.
• Interview, hire, onboard, and assist with the training of new employees, giving continuous coaching, feedback, and support.
• Supervise and assign tasks to employees to ensure the efficiency of the station.
• Create employee schedules to ensure proper staffing based on forecasted customer traffic and operational needs.
• Ensure emission inspections are conducted accurately and efficiently to minimize customer wait times.
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly operation activities.
• Manage inventory of supplies around the station.
• Coordinate facility maintenance, including groundskeeping, snow removal, janitorial upkeep and painting.
• Promote a culture of safety by leading the stations Safety Program to ensure the safety of both employees and customers.
• Complete administrative paperwork related to stations operations and finances
• Conduct emissions tests as needed to maintain compliance with customer wait time expectations.
• Additional duties as assigned by District or Operations Manager.
