Job summary

Envirotest, a subsidiary of Opus Inspection, is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Owings Mills, MD. You will maintain emission testing equipment, perform diagnostics, calibration, and routine servicing at our stations.

This is a full-time, non-exempt role offering a comprehensive benefits package. The position requires lifting up to 75 pounds, ability to drive up to 30% of the time, and strong customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds from ground to chest level.
• Knowledge of testing equipment, including digital voltmeters.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical hand tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service orientation and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and calibration of emission-related equipment and lane systems.
• Install, test and calibrate equipment to ensure peak performance.
• Assist in maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic systems (alarms, network systems, computer peripherals).
• Conduct scheduled routine maintenance tasks per established procedures.
• Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation.
• Drive up to 30% of the time.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
