Job summary

The Boeing Company in Tukwila, WA is seeking an Electromagnetic Effects Design and Analysis Engineer to develop and validate E3 requirements and architectures for complex aircraft systems. You will work on EMI/EMC, tests, and supplier engagements to ensure platform integrity.

Responsibilities include modeling, trade studies, and test automation, collaborating across disciplines, and supporting program management. Onsite role with relocation options and security-clearance pathways.

Qualifications

  • US citizenship required for clearance; ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field (Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical, CS, Data Science, Math, Physics, Chemistry) or non-US equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience with electromagnetic concepts (RF isolation, shielding, grounding, filtering)
  • Willing to travel up to 25% domestically

Responsibilities

  • Perform trade studies, modeling, simulation, and analyses to predict component, interconnect, and system performance for E3
  • Achieve EMC of electronics, wiring, and structure with minimal direction at higher levels
  • Interface with manufacturing and suppliers on E3 design aspects; report achievements and issues to management
  • Review supplier test plans/reports for technical correctness; coordinate corrective actions
  • Support project management with development of work statements, budgets, schedules, and design inputs
  • Collaborate with engineering disciplines and suppliers to assess changes and mitigations
  • Develop and implement test automation for aircraft modifications
  • Apply EMI/EMC methods to document and resolve problems
  • Apply conversion, correction, and antenna factors to analyses/tests
  • Participate on cross-functional teams and present results in reviews
  • Process engineering data into tables/graphs/reports
  • Support or conduct aircraft-level E3 testing
