Job summary

Kennedy Space Center is seeking an Electromagnetics Effects Test Engineer to lead hands‑on electronics and EMI testing for space research payloads and launch support equipment. The role involves lab and field testing, customer communication, and developing safe test methods with instrumented measurement systems.

Ideal candidates have 2–5+ years in EMI testing, experience as a test conductor, and strong leadership and problem‑solving skills.

Qualifications

BS degree with 2–5+ years' hands‑on experience in electronic testing and EMI testing.
Experience as a test conductor and test engineer with procedures.
Ability to write operational, quality and safety procedures.
Competent in a programming language, preferably Python.
Strong task, project management and communication skills.
Familiarity with MS Office products and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

Lead electromagnetic effects testing on ground support equipment and payloads.
Develop safe test methods, author maintenance and testing procedures, and report results.
Ensure measurement system readiness, risk management, and customer communication.
Perform tests per MIL-STD 461 family methods or program specifics.
Drive test system upgrades and coordinate with technicians.
