Job summary

SpaceX seeks an Electromagnetic Effects Test Engineer to ensure EMC performance for Satellite and Ground System components. You will join the high‑tempo E3 team, interfacing with design, manufacturing, integration, and mission operations to validate EMI/EMC and RF requirements across board to system levels.

The role requires hands-on testing, lab calibration, and developing test plans/reports, with opportunities to automate using tools like TILE! and Spice-based simulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, or other engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of hardware-focused test engineering experience (internships and project experience are applicable).
• Experience with CISPR 25/FCC Part 15 or MIL-STD-461/DO-160G is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support development and formal qualification/certification testing for automotive EMC per CISPR 25, ISO 11452.
• Ensure designs meet EMI/EMC and radio requirements set for the project.
• Maintain and operate EMC test facilities including chambers and conducted assets for pre-compliance/testing.
