Job summary

The University of Iowa is seeking an Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist to perform nerve conduction studies and EMG procedures in the EMG lab and at patient sites. The role emphasizes patient care, data analysis, and collaboration with physicians.

Responsibilities include data reporting, equipment maintenance, and staff/learner instruction, with a sign-on incentive of up to $5,000 for eligible candidates who have not held a similar role recently. On-campus modality with full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Completion of a 24-month END Technology program or equivalent education/experience.
• Eligibility for national certifications (e.g., R. EEG T., R.NCS.T., CNCT) within 9 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine nerve conduction studies in laboratory, bedside, or operating room.
• Analyze data and apply techniques to provide diagnostic outcomes.
• Generate reports for diagnostic review by interpreting physicians.
• Assist physicians with EMG procedures and educate patients.
• Maintain records, quality control, and equipment functionality.
• Participate in staff training and department quality initiatives.
