Job summary

Fehr & Peers, a diverse transportation firm, is seeking a Transportation Engineer or Planner with 2–4 years of experience. You will build on a solid technical base, take on ownership of tasks, and help shape project approaches while mentoring others.

You’ll work on planning and engineering projects, growing technical expertise and project management capabilities within a collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in transportation, civil or electrical engineering, urban and regional planning, or related field
• Experience applying transportation analysis techniques with increasing independence
• Familiarity with software tools listed (Excel, GIS, CAD, HCS, Synchro, VISSIM, Sidra, Cube/Voyager, TransCAD, VISUM, Emme, Python/R)
• Interest in mentoring others and contributing to a collaborative team environment
• EIT certification preferred; progress toward licensure encouraged

Responsibilities

• Lead tasks and manage projects, including scope, schedule, and budget
• Apply standard and intermediate analytical techniques independently
• Prepare clear technical reports, memos, and presentations
• Participate in and lead client meetings and support relationship development
• Mentor entry-level staff and interns, including delegation and review of work
