Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is seeking an Operation Analyst, OCC‑MOW, Emerging Talent Intern for Spring. The role focuses on project management, data handling, automation, and digital tools to support day‑to‑day operations in the OCC‑MOW team.

You will build SharePoint sites, create Power Automate flows, and manage data workflows while gaining hands‑on exposure to a live transit control center.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must.
• Organizational, analytical and communication skills are required.
• Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks.
• Keen eye for detail and ability to work independently while being an active team player.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and organize SharePoint sites with structured information and clear workflows.
• Review and track system access requests using internal systems and manage access approvals.
• Track and organize MOW employee data and records.
• Document workflows and procedures to create reference materials and improve consistency.
• Support data and reporting requests and streamline daily tasks.
• Create Power Automate flows to automate repetitive processes.
• Assist with Monday.com and Microsoft 365 tools to organize and report operational information.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements by reviewing existing workflows and recommending efficiencies.
