Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking an entry-level Coordinator of Supplier Diversity to support the implementation of supplier-diversity initiatives on assigned projects. You will assist the Manager of Supplier Diversity, project teams, and community stakeholders in promoting small business inclusion and workforce development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or business, marketing, public administration, communications, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support early engagement with clients, community partners and small business trade partners; assist with outreach coordination and documentation of market intelligence.
• Help promote the Supplier Diversity program with outreach materials and community engagement summaries.
• Identify local small business participation opportunities and market trends to inform project teams.
• Assist with RFP reviews and proposal content, small business participation and workforce development plans.
• Gather information on small business capabilities, certifications, safety, and project experience for trade partners.
• Support estimating and procurement by reviewing lists and tracking small business participation.
• Help implement small business participation and workforce development strategies on projects.
• Track compliance and reporting for supplier diversity and workforce development.
• Coordinate with partners and programs to support training and path-to-do-business activities.
• Support participation in supplier diversity organizations and events.
