Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support store operations, staffing, inventory, and customer service. You will help with recruiting, merchandising, and daily store processes to ensure high standards.

The role involves maintaining cash control, opening/closing duties, and analyzing store performance to identify improvement opportunities. A high school diploma and retail experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment preferred for external candidates.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and stocking according to practices and direction.
• Assist in inventory management, damages, markdowns, scans, and paperwork.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide customer service leadership.
• Follow store policies and procedures as outlined in manuals.
• Participate in opening/closing activities.
• Ensure safe deposits and cash control compliance.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked stores and safe environment.
• Operate store in manager's absence.
• Review operating statements for trends and opportunities.
• Complete paperwork according to guidelines.
