Job summary

Huck's Market is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee shift operations, ensure policy compliance, and support the Store Manager. The role involves greeting customers, managing schedules, and maintaining standards during peak hours.

You will handle bookkeeping basics, promote Huck’s Bucks, and help drive profitability. Training and relocation for openings may lead to a future store manager position; relocation is negotiable.

Responsibilities

• Gives customers prompt and courteous service and adheres to Best In Class standards
• Observes shift operating hours and helps fill shifts
• Works the store manager's days off and covers peak hours
• Performs tasks assigned by the Store Manager
• Communicates effectively with staff and management
• Follows laws and maintains professional conduct
• Keeps management aware of sales, cash, or operating discrepancies
• Ensures associates wear proper uniforms and deliver prompt service
• Completes shift-change reports and records all worked hours
• Rings sales and handles over rings and refunds
• Completes daily paperwork and makes deposits as directed
• Treats associates with dignity and resolves personnel situations with input to the Store Manager
• Maintains a safe and secure store environment
• Promotes Huck’s Bucks Loyalty app to customers
• Supports merchandising, pricing, and upkeep of displays
• Maintains store appearance, cleanliness, and equipment upkeep
• Follows sanitation procedures and safe lifting practices
• Reports accidents promptly to management and corporate office
