Job summary

Silverback Concrete is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager on a data center project in Council Hill, OK. Based out of the Council Hill office, you will manage documentation, submittals, RFIs, procurement, and quality records to keep field work productive.

This development role emphasizes learning the business and growing into a full Project Manager, collaborating with field leadership, QC, and partners to deliver on schedule and quality concrete work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field — or equivalent hands-on construction experience (2+ years).
• Working knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and general project workflows.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and the ability to learn Procore quickly.
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to the jobsite.
• OSHA 30-Hour certification — Silverback will provide it at company expense if not already held.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date project records in Procore, including drawings, specifications, ASIs, RFIs, submittals, and change documentation.
• Prepare, log, route, and track submittals and RFIs to closure; follow up with the GC, suppliers, and engineers to keep responses on schedule.
• Assist with material procurement and delivery scheduling for concrete, reinforcing steel, embeds, vapor retarder, curing materials, and formwork; track lead times against the pour schedule.
• Work alongside the QC team to compile mix design approvals, pre-placement checklists, cylinder break results, and floor flatness/levelness (FF/FL) reports; maintain the QC record set in Procore.
• Prepare and process T&M tickets and change order requests, assist with monthly pay applications, and apply correct cost coding to invoices and commitments.
• Attend GC coordination and OAC meetings, capture and distribute minutes, and communicate proactively with the GC, owner representatives, and trade partners.
• Assist field leadership with pre-task planning, JHAs/AHAs, and safety compliance documentation; reinforce a culture where production never comes before safety.
• Help assemble closeout documentation — as-builts, warranties, and final QC records — for a clean, complete project handover.
