Job summary

BF Construction Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager with commercial construction experience to support active projects from preconstruction through closeout.

You will work with Project Managers, Superintendents, Field Leads, subcontractors, vendors, and Leadership to align field and office activities and drive execution. The role emphasizes organization, ownership, and proactive problem-solving, with a path to advance to a Project Manager role within BF Construction.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial construction experience.
• Experience as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, Construction Project Coordinator, or similar construction role.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans, specifications, and project documents.
• Working knowledge of commercial construction sequencing and project workflow.
• Experience with schedules, subcontractors, procurement, RFIs, submittals, and field coordination.
• Strong attention to detail with consistent follow-through and execution.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining and driving active project schedules and the master schedule.
• Build and maintain one- and two-week lookaheads.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, Field Leads, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Identify schedule conflicts, missing information, delays, and sequencing risks.
• Confirm completed work and update schedules when field conditions change.
• Track procurement, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and action items.
