Job summary

Metal Technologies is seeking an Assistant Plant Manager in Three Rivers, MI to develop leadership capabilities and prepare for future Plant Manager opportunities. You will work with the Plant Manager to drive safety, quality, productivity, and profitability across operations.

The role requires strong manufacturing leadership, budgeting acumen, and experience with lean initiatives, delivering measurable improvements and building leadership capacity.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
• Demonstrated success leading teams or departments.
• Proven ability to drive operational improvements.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct the overall operation of the manufacturing facility to meet objectives.
• Coordinate daily plant priorities across all functional departments.
• Support production schedules while maintaining safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
• Monitor plant performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
• Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives as assigned.
• Learn to lead through department managers rather than direct supervision of frontline staff.
