Job summary
Argus Media is seeking an enthusiastic early-career journalist to join its market coverage team in Houston. You will develop reporting skills across pricing, news and analysis while rotating through commodity markets and a stint on the News team, under an experienced editor.
You will produce daily or weekly market content for online and reports, build contacts at buyers, sellers and traders, and attend industry events to grow coverage and insights, meeting tight deadlines.
Qualifications
- Graduates with a strong degree, preferably in journalism or economics.
- Developing and maintaining rapport with key contacts and industry stakeholders to gain market intelligence.
- Interviews with subject matter experts, researching industry trends and topics.
Responsibilities
- Produce daily or weekly news and analytical content on specific markets under editor guidance.
- Attend meetings, conferences and industry events to build contacts and inform coverage.
- Synthesize complex information quickly and write market commentary and analysis in clear language.
