Job summary

The Asian Art Museum offers a sixteen-week, part-time internship designed to provide hands-on experience in art practice, education, and civic engagement. Interns must be available Sundays from 10 AM to 5 PM for the duration of the internship, and the program emphasizes mentorship and weekly museum-field seminars.

Interns will gain experience across museum education, digital learning, and public programs with opportunities to work on tours, workshops, and curricular resources.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and currently enrolled in an accredited, degree-granting program at the time of the internship.
• Rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors are encouraged to apply.
• Qualified candidates from all backgrounds are welcome; first-generation college attendees and bilingual applicants are strongly encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Design developmentally appropriate tours for K-12 audiences.
• Develop and offer artmaking workshops for adult audiences.
• Research and host luminaries at public programs.
• Create curricular resources for digital learning platforms.
• Collaborate with marketing and communications to promote programs.
