Job summary

KIRCO, a family-owned real estate and construction firm, seeks a Junior Estimator to assist the preconstruction team in developing accurate cost estimates for commercial projects. You will help with quantity takeoffs, bid analysis, budgeting, and proposal preparation, working under senior estimators.

This role offers a clear path in commercial construction estimating and exposure to plans, specifications, BIM models, and collaboration with project managers, architects, engineers, and owners

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field; internships/desirable experience in commercial construction.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications; understand means and methods.
• Smart software literacy with takeoff and estimating tools; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive bidder lists and organize bidding documents.
• Assist with quantity takeoffs from drawings, specs, and BIM models.
• Solicit subcontractor pricing and support bid analysis and budgeting.
• Support development of GMP estimates and preconstruction deliverables.
• Maintain estimating files and historical cost data; assist with project turnover.
