Job summary

ERM is seeking an early-career environmental professional to join our consulting team in Ewing, NJ. The Consulting Associate will support investigations, site conditions evaluation, and remediation efforts across a broad range of projects.

You will gain hands-on experience with field sampling, data collection, and regulatory compliance while collaborating with senior scientists. Occasional travel across the United States and internationally is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in geology or related field with minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Recent graduate to 1 year of experience.
• Willingness to perform field work and travel.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow protocols.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license; travel to client locations.
• Not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field work including soil, groundwater, and air sampling.
• Assist groundwater and wastewater monitoring.
• Perform Phase I/II environmental assessments.
• Compile data and assist report preparation.
• Prepare compliance permits and reports for air, hazardous waste, storm water.
• Ensure regulatory compliance.
• Communicate with subcontractors, regulators, and clients during field activities.
