Job summary

CPCD, in partnership with Pikes Peak State College, seeks an Apprentice Teacher Assistant to support teachers and implement early learning activities. You will help create safe, engaging classrooms and advance school readiness in collaboration with families, meeting Head Start standards and CPCD policies.

Salary progresses with steps from entry wage to higher credentials; includes benefits and tuition assistance after probation. Must be enrolled or plan to enroll in the coming semester.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• CDA credential or Level II credential required or to be obtained within 2 years.
• First Aid and CPR certification required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in planning and implementing learning experiences for children.
• Support safe, healthy, high-quality learning environments.
• Adapt activities to promote school readiness and child development.
