Job summary

W. W. Gay Mechanical Contractor, Inc. is seeking an up-and-coming project manager support role to assist on multiple projects from design through closeout. You will help with contract review, budgeting, scheduling, submittals, RFIs, and documentation.

The position requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to follow directions while handling deadlines. Prior exposure to construction software is a plus; supervision will guide daily tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Actively pursuing an associate degree or higher in construction field.
• Experience with construction project management a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project manager with contract review and execution.
• Assist the project manager with project financial setup and operational setup in software.
• Assist the project manager with schedule review and analysis.
• Assist with the submittal process, including log setup, review, corrections, and distribution to vendors and subcontractors.
• Assist with setup, maintenance, and distribution of construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and RFIs.
• Assist with all aspects of change management.
• Assist with estimating, including project changes or work outside project scope.
• Assist with procurement of materials.
• Manage project closeout and create maintenance and operation manuals and other closeout documents at project completion.
• Understand and complete tasks within company or project timelines and take directions from supervisor/manager.
