Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking an Early Career Sales Representative to develop new business and manage assigned SMB accounts. The role emphasizes remote communication, with growth into outside sales within 12–14 months, coordinating with management to secure orders and resolve issues.

You will build strong customer relationships, stay informed on industry trends, and drive cross-sell and up-sell opportunities while meeting defined metrics and margin goals.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of B2B inside or field sales experience preferred.
• Fiber-based packaging industry experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• Ability to manage a full book of accounts across multiple units.
• Proficient with Salesforce or similar CRM.
• Home office/workspace required with company laptop and phone.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business and manage assigned accounts, primarily SMB segment.
• Coordinate orders with corporate and plant management; resolve account issues.
• Aim to secure orders for new business and expand customer base.
• Build deep rapport to understand customer challenges and buying decisions.
• Meet or exceed volume and margin targets with cross-sell and up-sell.
• Coach junior team members and share best practices.
