Job summary

Pilgrim's in the United States seeks an Accounting Manager in Training to oversee financial operations for the site, partner with operations and accounting leadership, and drive cost control through reporting and analysis. The role covers budgeting, SOX compliance, and GAAP adherence.

The position requires 3–5 years in operational accounting, familiarity with ERP systems (SAP) and Excel, and a readiness to relocate for openings.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in operational accounting
• Manufacturing industry experience is a plus
• Knowledge of SAP or comparable ERP system, Excel and Microsoft
• Ability to prepare financial statements, reports and analyses
• Knowledge of payroll, general ledger, accounts payable, and cost accounting
• Willing to relocate based on company Accounting Manager openings

Responsibilities

• Prepare or direct preparation of reports summarizing business activity, expenses and variances
• Assist with development of internal control procedures, standards and compliance
• Ensure proper segregation of duties and safeguard company assets
• Manage Accounting function at the location with cross-training and staff development
• Coordinate preparation of yearly budgets
• Prepare weekly and monthly financials and variance reporting
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts as assigned
• Manage and control payroll functions
• Coordinate with internal and external audit on income statements and reports
• Oversee inventory controls and accuracy
