Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking an Accounting Manager in Training to oversee all financial aspects of operations accounting as a key member of the facility management team. You will work with operations and accounting management to reduce costs through reporting and analysis, and to assist in developing internal control procedures under SOX compliance and GAAP.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in operational accounting.
• Knowledge of SAP or a comparable ERP system and Excel.
• Must be able to prepare financial statements and analyses.

Responsibilities

• Prepare or direct preparation of reports summarizing expenses and variances.
• Assist with internal control procedures and compliance.
• Ensure proper segregation of duties and safeguarding of assets.
• Manage accounting functions at the location and staff development.
• Coordinate yearly budget preparation.
• Prepare weekly and monthly financials and variance reporting.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and manage payroll functions.
• Work with internal/external audit on income statements.
• Oversee inventory controls and accuracy.
