The Salvation Army USA Western Territory in Spokane, WA is seeking a Program Operations Specialist to provide temporary shelter, care and supervision for foster youth ages 10–20 in emergency placements for up to 30 days. You will lead daily activities, coordinate meals, monitor safety, and work within a team to support youth in care while adhering to state, licensing and policy guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of successful experience with youth.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Pass a Criminal Background Check and a DSHS Background Check.
• CPR/First Aid training required.
• Bloodborne Pathogens training required.
• De-escalation and restraint training preferred.
• TB test must be current and Food Handlers permit required.
• Ability to supervise youth and communicate effectively.
• Be available for on-call shifts, including some holidays.

Responsabilités

• Attend monthly staff meetings and trainings.
• Directly supervise youth in care and guide daily activities.
• Communicate program needs to supervisors and professional agencies.
• Ensure safety, security and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Assist with meals, laundry, and facility upkeep.
• Accompany youth to school and appointments as needed.
