PetVet Care Centers’ The Regional Veterinary Referral Center in Springfield, VA is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our emergency and referral team. Earn a sign-on bonus up to $1,000 based on experience and provide high-quality patient care 24/7.

The role includes triage, diagnostics, anesthesia support, nursing care, and detailed medical records, within a nationally supported hospital network.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS).
• Strong basic technician skills (IVC placement and maintenance, phlebotomy, radiology, in-house lab work) and clear client communication.
• Comfortable with hospitalized and potentially critical patients.

Responsibilities

• Determine animal requirements by examinations and interviews, review care plans, and perform diagnostic imaging.
• Care for patients by taking vital signs, collecting samples, administering medications, and wound care.
• Assist with examinations and surgeries by preparing supplies and restraining patients as directed.
• Maintain medical records and ensure proper documentation of treatments and changes.
• Communicate with pet owners about patient status as directed by the veterinarian.
• Maintain equipment, inventory, and a clean, safe hospital environment.
