Job summary

PetVet Care Centers' Animal Emergency Center in Memphis, Tennessee is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our emergency team. The candidate will provide patient care, assist in examinations and surgeries, maintain medical records, and communicate with pet owners.

We offer a sign-on bonus up to $1,000 based on experience for credentialed technicians, with opportunities for professional growth within a large, supportive network of hospitals across the country.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position
• Must have a current State of TN Veterinary Technician License
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a veterinary assistant/technician

Responsibilities

• Determine animal requirements by conducting examinations and reviewing care plans and records, performing labs and imaging as needed
• Care for patients by taking vital signs, collecting samples, administering medications and vaccines, and wound care
• Support examinations and surgeries by preparing supplies, restraining patients, and assisting the veterinarian
• Maintain medical records and communicate with pet owners about patient status
• Manage inventory, equipment, and supplies, and ensure clean, sterile environments
