Job summary

PetVet Care Centers is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our Regional Veterinary Referral Center in Springfield, VA. The role supports hospital operations, provides nursing care, and maintains medical records while delivering exceptional service to pets and clients.

The 24.75–35.20 USD hourly pay range includes a sign-on bonus up to $1,000 based on experience; the position offers 24/7 emergency care exposure and opportunities for growth within a nationally supported network.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS).
• Strong basic technician skills: IV placement, phlebotomy, radiology, in-house lab work, clear communication with clients and doctors/staff.
• Comfortable with hospitalized and potentially critical patients.

Responsibilities

• Determine animal requirements by examinations and records review and perform diagnostic imaging as needed.
• Care for patients by taking vital signs, collecting samples, administering medications, and wound care.
• Assist during examinations and surgeries by preparing supplies and restraining patients as directed.
• Maintain thorough medical records and communicate patient status to owners as directed by the veterinarian.
