BluePearl Pet Hospital in the United States is hiring experienced Veterinary Technicians for our busy Emergency and Critical Care department. Pay ranges from $21.00 to $42.00 per hour and depends on experience and competency level.

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia, triage emergencies, perform digital radiography, monitor vital signs, calculate medications, place IV catheters, and mentor teammates while delivering compassionate care to pets

Qualifications

• Experienced veterinary technicians in emergency and critical care.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Strong patient care and client communications.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia in patients and use anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergency cases and obtain vitals (temp, HR, RR, BP).
• Perform digital radiography with proper technique.
• Monitor vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes.
• Identify at-risk patients and initiate CPR.
• Calculate medical dosages and administer meds.
• Place IV catheters and perform phlebotomy.
• Assist with feeding tubes and central lines.
• Mentor and train co-workers with patience and empathy.
