Job summary

Metropolitan Animal Emergency and Specialty Center in Rockville, MD is seeking full-time Veterinary Technicians to join our Dayshift Emergency team as part of Thrive Pet Healthcare. You will triage urgent cases, perform diagnostic testing, monitor critical patients, support treatments and procedures, and guide clients through every step of their pet's emergency visit.

Requirements include minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience and active CVT/RVT/LVT preferred; emergency setting

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care).
• CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) preferred.
• Experience in an Emergency Veterinary Setting strongly preferred.
• Has strong anesthesia skills (Able to obtain Blood pressure, ECG, SpO2, and EtCO2 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care).
• Possesses a positive work attitude.
• Self-motivated.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
