Ethos Veterinary Health in Hunt Valley, MD is seeking an Emergency Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced hospital team. The role emphasizes high-level nursing care for emergency and critically ill patients.

RVT preferred but not required, with four 10-hour shifts and day/overnight options; competitive hourly pay between $22 and $28, plus a robust benefits package including health and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Emergency or critical care experience preferred.
• Strong clinical skills including phlebotomy, IV placement, radiography, anesthesia monitoring, and lab procedures.
• Excellent communication and client service skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care for emergency and critically ill patients.
• Collaborate with Emergency Veterinarians for patient and client care.
• Perform safe, low-stress patient handling.
• Obtain blood samples and run in-house labs.
• Assist with diagnostic imaging, including radiographs.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately.
• Support appointments and provide client education.
• Assist with anesthesia and endoscopy.
• Monitor ICU, inpatient, and outpatient patients.
• Maintain a clean, safe hospital environment.
• Demonstrate professionalism in a fast-paced setting.
• Work with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff.
• Contribute to a positive hospital culture.
