Job summary

Ethos Veterinary Health’s Dayton emergency hospital seeks an Emergency Veterinarian Medical Director to lead our ER team and advance clinical excellence. This full-time role in Dayton, OH offers leadership responsibilities, mentorship, and a path to board-certification initiatives within Ethos’ network.

You will balance clinical duties with leadership, guide diverse specialists, and drive hospital growth while maintaining exceptional patient care and clinician wellbeing.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree with Ohio veterinary license (or eligibility).
• Emergency medicine background preferred.
• 3–5+ years of leadership or mentoring experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and inspire a diverse team including specialists.
• Confidence overseeing a team that includes specialists.
