Ethos Veterinary Health is hiring a Veterinary Assistant for our Emergency/Urgent Care in Midlothian, VA. This full-time role involves triage, client communication, and assisting in diagnostics and treatments in a busy hospital.

Compensation ranges from $17 to $20 per hour, with shift options including day, mid, and overnight, and a $3/hr differential for overnight. Benefits include medical, dental, life, and pet-related perks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• 1 year of veterinary experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills in person and over the phone.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Flexible and adaptable to new situations.
• Team player with honesty and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Conduct triages and physical assessments to prioritize care.
• Recognize emergencies and take appropriate action during initial presentation.
• Communicate medical histories to the team and owners.
• Provide client service and patient care while maintaining hospital cleanliness.
• Assist licensed technicians with procedures and documentation.
• Restraining patients for exams and diagnostics.
• Support in hospitalization and hourly treatments per hospital protocol.
• Complete client service tasks such as check-in, payments, and phone coverage.
