Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is hiring a per diem Emergency Veterinary Assistant to be in the heart of action from day one, supporting the team, comforting pet parents, and learning on the job. You’ll participate in triage, treatments, and the tail wag moments, with a clear path toward becoming a credentialed technician or exploring other growth avenues.

You’ll work alongside credentialed techs and veterinarians, handling setup, monitoring anesthesia, IVs, and medications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Enrolled in AVMA-accredited vet tech program a plus.
• 1+ years in a veterinary assistant role (emergency or specialty a bonus).
• Excellent communicator with pet parents and team.

Responsibilities

• Be the first warm welcome, triage patients, guide to care.
• Assist with treatments, nursing care, diagnostics, imaging, IVs, meds.
