Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join our open-concept, 24/7 hospitals. You’ll handle a wide range of emergencies, from routine cases to complex surgeries, including exotics, with mentorship and ongoing VEG Education programs.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree is required.
• Emergency medicine experience preferred.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 kg, with assistance for more.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse people.

Responsibilities

• Answer medical questions and see patients on arrival.
• Perform emergency surgeries and endoscopic procedures.
• Gather signalment, presenting complaints, vitals, and exam findings.
• Prepare and present estimates; create and review medical records.
• Educate clients on diagnoses, treatments, and aftercare.
