Job summary

VEG is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian who thrives on helping people and their pets when they need it most. You will join a team dedicated to high-quality emergency care, mentorship, and ongoing learning through VEG Education programs and earned CE opportunities.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree required.
• Live and breathe emergency medicine, including emergency surgery and endoscopy.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Able to stand for prolonged hours and lift up to 25 kg solo; assist up to 40 kg.

Responsibilities

• Answer medical questions and provide triage over the phone.
• See patients immediately as part of VEG triage processes.
• Perform examinations, diagnostics, and develop treatment plans.
• Communicate diagnoses and options to clients; prepare estimates.
• Perform surgeries and endoscopic procedures as needed.
