Job summary

VEG is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join our nationwide 24/7 emergency network. You will manage a wide range of emergencies, perform surgeries and endoscopy, and provide compassionate care for all pets, including exotics.

Qualifications

• A DVM or equivalent degree.
• Live and breathe emergency medicine, including emergency surgery and endoscopy.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.
• Stand for prolonged hours and lift up to 25 kg; support up to 40 kg.
• Able to work in a noisy environment with strong odors.

Responsibilities

• Handle emergency cases and perform surgeries and endoscopy.
• Triage and diagnose pets; develop diagnostic and therapeutic plans.
• Communicate diagnoses and treatment options with clients.
• Prepare estimates and manage medical records.
• Educate clients on aftercare and preventative measures.
