Veterinary Emergency Group is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician Shift Lead in Clearwater, FL. You will oversee shift flow, ensure top-tier patient care, and coach VEGgies to maintain a high standard of service in our fast-paced ER setting.

Ideal candidates bring CVT/RVT/LVMT credentials, 1+ year of veterinary tech experience (emergency preferred), and a passion for mentorship. This on-site role requires flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays while supporting

Qualifications

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVMT) preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in a veterinary technician or assistant role; emergency experience preferred.
• Ability to lead shifts, coach, and maintain calm under pressure.
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient status and team workload across a shift.
• Coordinate breaks and manage shift transitions.
• Provide floor coaching and ensure safe, smooth operations.
• Assist with conflict resolution and maintain clear communication.
• Support leadership on coverage and ongoing coaching.
