As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will assist with anesthesia, triage, radiography, and critical patient monitoring while supporting clients with compassionate communication and education.

Qualifications

• Experienced veterinary technician for emergency care.
• Ability to induce, monitor and recover anesthesia.
• Capable of triaging emergencies and monitoring vitals.
• Proficient with digital radiography and patient positioning.
• Comfort with phlebotomy and IV catheter placement.
• Strong client communication and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia and use monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergency cases and obtain vitals and patient data.
• Perform digital radiography with proper technique.
• Monitor vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes.
• Initiate CPR for at-risk patients when needed.
• Compute medical dosages and administer medications.
• Phlebotomy and IV catheter placement in peripheral vessels.
• Place and maintain feeding tubes and central lines.
• Mentor and train co-workers.
• Address client concerns with empathy.
