Job summary

VEG seeks an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line ER team in Minnesota. You’ll handle a wide range of cases from triage to critical care, collaborating with doctors to deliver compassionate, high-standard care for pets and their families.

We value learning and mentorship, offer extensive training, travel stipends for CE, a 401K match, and generous parental leave. This full-time position requires AVMA-accredited education and CVT/RVT/LVT credentials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Credentialed Veterinary Technician in the practicing state.
• 1+ year in veterinary technician role; emergency experience preferred.
• Able to use practice management software and EMR systems.
• Calm under pressure; strong communication with team and clients.
• Physical stamina for long shifts; lifts up to 25 kg unaided.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from triage to discharge.
• Assist with diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Manage medications, IVs/CRIs, transfusions, and related procedures.
• Collaborate with doctors to plan and adjust patient care.
• Perform CPR when needed and support fast-paced ER workflows.
• Handle diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tubing placements.
• Contribute to a compassionate, patient- and family-centered environment.
