Veterinary Emergency Group is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician in Gaithersburg, MD to join our fast-paced ER team. You will perform triage, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, collaborating with doctors to deliver gold-standard care for pets and support their families in stressful moments.

The role requires CVT/RVT/LVMT credentials, AVMA-accredited program, 1+ year experience in emergency or specialty medicine, and the ability to work nights,

Qualifications

• AVMA-accredited program required or strongly preferred.
• Credentialed Veterinary Technician in the state where practice is located.
• 1+ year of experience in veterinary technician role, emergency experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Provide nursing care, emotional support, and communicate with the team to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Utilize advanced techniques including IVs, CRIs, blood transfusions, and sample collection.
• Assist with diagnostics, imaging, endoscopy, ultrasounds, and anesthesia, including fragile patients.
