VEG is seeking a Veterinary Nursing Shift Lead in Charlotte, NC. You will own shift rhythm, ensure top-tier patient care, and empower VEGgies to thrive through coaching and support on busy nights and weekends.

You’ll oversee patient status, guide breaks, and coordinate with hospital leadership to keep operations smooth and safe while maintaining a people-centric, growth-focused culture.

Formación

• CVT/RVT/LVMT credential required or enrolled in VEG Credentialing Support Program
• 1+ year experience in veterinary technician or assistant role; ER or specialty preferred
• Strong grasp of clinical workflow and team dynamics
• Leadership instincts with empathy and ownership mindset
• Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills
• Flexibility and willingness to step in wherever needed
• Basic computer skills and EMR familiarity

Responsabilidades

• Oversee patient status, team bandwidth, and shift-wide needs
• Direct daily workflow and pivot when the unexpected hits
• Assign and adapt shift roles with clarity and care
• Step in on the floor when help is needed
• Coordinate breaks and resolve conflicts with calm under pressure
• Lead shift transitions, huddles, and end-of-day wrap-ups
• Communicate clearly and escalate key issues
• Foster on-the-job learning and mentorship for growth
