Job summary

The University of Georgia is seeking a part-time Small Animal Emergency Front Desk receptionist to support the ECC team during evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays. The ECC Vet Asst. will assist clients in delivering their pets to the ECC and handle appointments, chart opening in VetView, and processing payments.

Responsibilities include answering phones, scheduling from referring veterinarians, and maintaining patient charts and service charges in the hospital database.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: knowledge of veterinary terminology.
• Preferred: experience using VetView hospital software.
• Preferred: knowledge of Vet Teaching hospital payment processing systems.

Responsibilities

• Be the first contact at the Emergency front desk for clients bringing in pets or referred from veterinarians.
• Assist clients by communicating hospital charges and policies.
• Receive incoming patients at the emergency front desk.
