The Ohio State University’s Veterinary Medical Center is seeking a Veterinary Care Assistant 2 for the Small Animal ECC team on the third shift. You will support clinicians and students, provide essential patient care, assist with exams and treatments, and help with admissions, discharges, and specimen transport in a busy hospital setting.

The position requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 75 pounds, and weekend/holiday rotation.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of relevant experience required.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide basic patient care functions.
• Assist in collection of lab specimens (blood, urine, feces).
• Assist with patient assessment, restraint and treatments.
• Assist with training student employees in prescribed care of animals.
• Care for hospitalized animal patients and maintain clean housing.
