The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Medical Center seeks a Veterinary Assistant to join the Small Animal ECC team. The successful candidate will assist in providing care to ill and injured animals and support clinicians, staff and students in daily operations.

Responsibilities include basic patient care, specimen collection, patient assessment, restraint and treatments, training student employees, and maintaining clean, safe housing for animals.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 6 months of veterinary experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 75 pounds.

Mansioni

• Assist in basic patient care and monitoring of hospitalized animals.
• Assist with lab specimen collection and testing.
• Assist with admission/discharge, transport, and cleaning of facilities.
