Job summary

PetVet Care Centers’ Westside Animal Emergency Clinic in Lithia Springs, GA seeks a Full-Time Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians with patient care, exam prep, restraint, and clerical duties in a fast-paced emergency setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ER experience required.
• IV catheter placement and blood draws proficiency.
• Ability to monitor patients and assist with anesthesia.
• Strong client communications.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients.
• Greet clients and record vital signs on arrival.
• Triage patients, assist with exams, treatments and medications.
• Prepare and sanitize surgery suites; restrain and handle patients.
• Perform laboratory tests and radiographs; maintain records.
• Maintain hospital cleanliness and proper use of supplies.
