Job summary

Dana Safety Supply is seeking an Emergency Vehicle Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and inspect emergency response vehicles and equipment. You will work on electrical systems, lighting, radios, and specialized upfitting components to keep fleets compliant and ready for mission critical tasks.

The role requires reading schematics, using diagnostic tools, and performing preventive maintenance in a safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with automotive electrical systems and upfitting.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and drawings.
• Proficient with hand and diagnostic tools.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to follow driving guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure emergency vehicle equipment (lights, sirens, radios).
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and electronic issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
• Read wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
• Maintain service records and inventory.
• Coordinate with fleets, law enforcement, fire, EMS, vendors and manufacturers to resolve issues.
• Test emergency lighting and communications systems.
